This is the first of three videos showing how to play Kuku, the rhythm we are learning in my West African Drum Class.
In this video, Jan Sebon is demonstrating the "signal" used for Kuku. It is a very common signal. As he states in the video, it starts and ends the song. It might also be a signal to the drummers to go to a break or change the tempo or the rhythm.
